Document Controller – Data Centre Project (Linz, Austria)
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading civil engineering and construction contractor, supporting a major infrastructure project in Linz, Austria.
The role is based on a large-scale data centre development, where the contractor is responsible for delivering the substation and associated civils works. This is a key project running until the end of the year, offering an excellent opportunity to be part of a high-profile international build.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Document Controller to support project delivery by managing, organising, and maintaining all project documentation in line with client and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will come from a civil engineering or construction background, with strong experience in document control within major infrastructure or industrial projects. Fluency in German is essential due to the project location and stakeholder requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain all project documentation in an organised and compliant manner
* Control the flow of technical documents between site teams, clients, and subcontractors
* Ensure all documentation is accurately filed, tracked, and updated in line with project procedures
* Support engineers and project teams with document retrieval and version control
* Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely submission and approval of drawings and reports
* Maintain project records for audits, compliance, and reporting purposes
* Ensure adherence to internal and client documentation standards
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Document Controller within civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects
* Strong understanding of project documentation systems and processes
* Fluent in German (essential)
* Experience working on large-scale construction or industrial projects (e.g. utilities, civils, energy, data centres)
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced site-based environment

* Rate: €250–€300 per day (flexible depending on experience)
* Package: Accommodation and travel fully covered
