Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are currently working with a well-established and forward-thinking main contractor based in Sevenoaks. With a turnover of circa £20m, the business delivers a broad range of design & build construction services across the South East, with a strong reputation across the Commercial, Residential, Hospitality, and Mixed-Use sectors.

Project examples include:
Residential: High-quality refurbishment schemes typically ranging from £2.5m – £8m
Mixed-Use: Developments combining residential, retail, and commercial elements £7m
Commercial: Office fit-outs and new-build commercial projects to a high specification

Our client is now looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Sevenoaks. The role is primarily office-based with regular site visits across their project portfolio. You’ll take a leading role in the commercial management of projects, ensuring procurement, reporting, and financial controls are delivered effectively.

Key responsibilities:

* Lead the commercial management of projects, including budgets, forecasts, and valuations

* Take ownership of contract administration (JCT/NEC/bespoke), ensuring compliance and mitigating risk

* Manage procurement strategy and oversee subcontractor packages

* Oversee cost reporting, variations, and change control

* Drive financial performance across projects, ensuring margins are maintained

* Lead on resolving commercial issues and maintain strong client relationships
