University Refurbishment Project – East London

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Construction Manager for a £3.5m university refurbishment project in London, starting in May through to September.

The project involves the conversion of part of an existing college building into a new computer lab room. The site is live and occupied, within a historic building environment, so previous experience in similar settings is essential.

The role is working for a leading Design & Build Contractor in London.

Project Details:

* Value: £3.5m

* Duration: May – September

* Scope: Refurbishment / Fit‑out (computer lab)

* Environment: Live, occupied building

* Building Type: Historic / heritage background preferred

Key Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Construction Manager on refurbishment / Fit Out projects

* Live, occupied site experience would be advantageous

* Background working with historic or listed buildings highly desirable

* Strong coordination of trades, programme, and site logistics

* Excellent communication skills for working within an operational university environment

* SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS required
