Health & Safety Advisor

A leading specialist subcontractor is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor / Manager to support delivery of a major package of works on a flagship construction development South of Bristol.

The package, forecast at over £100 million in value, includes extensive reinforced concrete and structural works within a wider large-scale main contracting scheme.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive H&S professional who thrives within major project environments and can help drive a strong safety-first culture across site operations.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety reviews
Ensure compliance with current HSE legislation and company procedures
Review RAMS and support operational planning activities
Carry out incident investigations and reporting where required
Deliver toolbox talks and promote behavioural safety initiatives
Liaise closely with site management, subcontractors, and client teams
Support continuous improvement across all health & safety functions

Candidate Requirements

Proven experience within major construction, civils, or infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of reinforced concrete and structural works environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work proactively and independently on large live schemes

Essential Qualifications

NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent
IOSH Membership minimum
CSCS Card
Relevant construction-related qualifications advantageous
