Site Manager

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join a long-term P&C MOD project commencing in June 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile defence-sector scheme with a strong pipeline of work.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all on-site construction activities and ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements
Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring productivity, sequencing, and performance targets are met
Lead daily site briefings, coordination meetings, and progress reviews
Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards in line with MOD requirements
Monitor programme progress and report delays, risks, and mitigation measures to the project team
Manage site logistics, material deliveries, storage, and access arrangements
Conduct quality inspections and ensure works comply with project specifications and standards
Maintain accurate site records including RAMS, permits, site diaries, and progress reports
Liaise with project managers, engineers, designers, and client representatives
Manage snagging, defect resolution, and handover processes
Ensure compliance with BPSS clearance requirements and security protocols

Technical Experience Required

Proven experience as a Site Manager on construction projects
Strong background in steel frame structures, including residential steel frame projects
Familiarity with MOD / secure environment project delivery
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation

Qualifications & Certifications

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
CSCS card (Black/Manager level preferred)
First Aid at Work
BPSS clearance (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
