About the role of Quantity Surveyor
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be joining the commercial team on a D&B contract for the construction of 87 flats across 4 residential blocks between 3 & 4 storeys high valued at £25m. This is a full-time site-based role with office visits. The duration of this project is 2 years.
They are the Main Contractor on the project and you will be reporting into a Managing Surveyor. The majority of projects are traditional build. You will be based on site in Surrey/South West London.
The company are an award winning developer/contractor who have been in the construction industry for over 25 years with a turnover of over £1bn. They are very busy at the moment with multiple upcoming projects in this region.
Key Responsibilities of Quantity Surveyor
Include but not limited to:
Develop a detailed cost plan
Plan initial cost estimates
Identify financial risks
Compile and issue tender packages
Monitor project costs against the budget throughout the projects life cycle
Provide regular cost reports
Negotiate and agree final accountsKey Requirements of Quantity Surveyor
Must have minimum of 4 years of experience at a contractor
Residential experience is ideal but not essential
Live within commutable distance to Surrey
