A long-established, design-focused construction consultancy in London is seeking a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their close-knit team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to gain exposure across heritage, residential, education, and public sector projects, many of which involve complex refurbishments and conservation-led schemes. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will play a key supporting role across multiple projects, working closely with experienced professionals. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor's role

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will support the commercial delivery of projects from early design stages through to completion. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will assist with cost planning, procurement, and tender analysis, while also contributing to contract administration duties. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work alongside senior team members, clients, and design teams to help ensure projects are delivered within budget and programme. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will also assist with valuations, variations, and final accounts, gaining full lifecycle experience.

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor

The ideal Assistant Quantity Surveyor will have 1-3 years' experience within a consultancy or main contractor environment. An Assistant Quantity Surveyor should have a basic understanding of pre- and post-contract duties. Experience with JCT contracts is beneficial for this Assistant Quantity Surveyor role. A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is preferred, with a desire to work towards MRICS. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be detail-oriented, proactive, and keen to develop within a technically strong consultancy.
