This organisation designs and manufactures roof trusses, joists and other engineered timber solutions for customers across the UK. Due to ongoing demand and a focus on maintaining a high-quality, customer-focused design service, they are looking to strengthen their design team. This role would suit an experienced, mid-level Roof Truss Designer who is technically competent, comfortable dealing directly with customers, and values working as part of a collaborative, office-based team. The business offers flexibility around working hours and a supportive environment with clear technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce accurate roof truss and joist designs using Mitek Pamir based on customer and contractor information
Review incoming designs, drawings and specifications, identifying risks and design considerations
Act as a key point of contact for customers, including pre-design calls, post-design discussions and follow-ups
Liaise closely with manufacturing colleagues to ensure designs are practical and buildable
Maintain high levels of accuracy, compliance and documentation throughout the design process
Manage your own workload across multiple projects to agreed timescalesExperience Required:

Proven experience as a Roof Truss Designer within the timber engineering or construction sector
Strong working knowledge of Mitek Pamir design software
Experience designing roof trusses and/or posi-joists independently
Confidence in communicating directly with customers and responding to technical queries
Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications and building regulations
High attention to detail and accuracy in technical work
