Health And Safety Advisor
We’re working with one of the UK’s most forward-thinking offsite construction businesses to recruit a proactive and people-focused Health & Safety Advisor.
This is not a role for someone who simply wants to complete inspections, tick boxes and go home.
The business is looking for someone who genuinely wants to influence positive change, build strong relationships with operational teams and play an active role in shaping a modern health and safety culture across both live construction projects and manufacturing environments.
Operating across major public sector projects including education, defence and accommodation schemes, the company has built a strong reputation for innovation, quality and modern methods of construction. Their projects combine advanced manufacturing, digital technology and site delivery in a way that is genuinely changing how buildings are delivered in the UK.
The role will involve supporting multiple live sites across London and the South East, while also contributing strategically alongside senior HSE leadership. This is an opportunity to work closely with an experienced and highly respected Head of HSE within a business that values collaboration, autonomy and continuous improvement.
The environment suits someone who is self-motivated, solutions-focused and comfortable working independently while still being a strong team player.
Key responsibilities:
• Supporting operational teams across multiple live construction sites
• Carrying out site inspections, audits and behavioural safety engagement
• Assisting in driving proactive health, safety and wellbeing initiatives
• Supporting the development of HSE strategy, systems and improvements
• Working collaboratively with subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Producing risk assessments, safe systems of work and compliance documentation
• Delivering toolbox talks, briefings and health & safety guidance
• Promoting positive behavioural change and a strong safety culture
• Supporting both site-based and manufacturing/factory operations when required
What we’re looking for:
• NEBOSH qualified
• Construction health & safety experience
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Someone proactive, personable and solutions-driven
• Comfortable managing their own workload across multiple locations
• Passion for improving standards, not just maintaining compliance
• Ability to engage confidently with site teams, managers and subcontractors
• Full UK driving licence
Why this role stands out:
• Opportunity to help shape and influence HSE strategy
• Exposure to both construction and manufacturing environments
• Hybrid working and genuine flexibility
• Strong pipeline of secured projects
• Modern, progressive business with significant growth plans
• Supportive leadership team and collaborative culture
• Opportunity for long-term progression as the business evolves
This role would suit someone currently working as a Health & Safety Advisor, HSE Advisor or SHE Advisor within construction, manufacturing, modular, infrastructure or related sectors who wants a role with more influence, variety and long-term opportunity
