Construction Project Engineer
Fantastic opportunity to work for a leading Energy Company that designs and develops long-duration energy storage solutions for utility and distributed power systems. This role will be working on the construction of a milestone project in Scotland, on a new Renewable Energy Storage Power Station.
My client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the Project Director and wider Projects Team. The role involves project coordination, interface and risk management, and delivery of a defined project scope (based on experience). The successful candidate will work closely with multiple contractors and project stakeholders, requiring strong organisation, communication, and time management skills.
The Role:
Support the Project Director with project planning, scheduling, and coordination across internal teams and external contractors.
Lead interface and risk management activities with support from the wider project team.
Monitor compliance with applicable engineering standards, QA/QC procedures, specifications, and performance requirements.
Liaise directly with on-site contractors to ensure project phases progress safely and on schedule.
Coordinate across engineering disciplines to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality project outputs.
Work closely with the Project Management team and key stakeholders to provide technical support and resolve project issues when required.
Required Experience:
Engineering degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical, Process, Control, or Electrical (Power) Engineering.
3–5 years’ experience as a Project Engineer, ideally within the energy storage, process, or electrical power sectors.
Proven track record of delivering projects from inception through to financial close and operational completion.
Experience working to UK standards and regulations.
Ability to work effectively across multiple engineering disciplines within a project environment.
