A Birmingham-based construction consultancy is looking to appoint a Project Manager to support a growing pipeline of work across the Midlands. This Project Manager role would suit an ambitious, client-facing Project Manager with previous consultancy experience and the confidence to manage construction projects from inception through to completion.

The successful Project Manager will join a professional and supportive team, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal colleagues. This Project Manager position is ideal for someone who is organised, commercially aware, and keen to develop within a reputable consultancy environment. The Project Manager will be involved in a variety of built environment projects, supporting delivery across both pre- and post-contract stages.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The Project Manager's role

The Project Manager will be responsible for assisting with the full project lifecycle, including client briefing, feasibility, procurement, programme management, risk management, stakeholder coordination, contract administration support, and project reporting.

The Project Manager will chair meetings, track actions, coordinate design teams, monitor contractor performance, and ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed time, cost, and quality objectives. The Project Manager will also support senior colleagues with larger schemes while taking ownership of smaller projects where appropriate.

The Project Manager will ideally have:

A degree in Construction Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related construction discipline
Previous experience working within a construction consultancy
Experience delivering built environment projects
Strong communication, organisation, and client-facing skills
Knowledge of JCT contracts and construction procurement routes
A proactive, professional, and team-focused approach
APM, CIOB, RICS, or working towards a relevant professional qualification would be advantageous
