We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor based near Reading. The business is one of the largest privately owned tier 1 main contractors in the UK, operating nationally out of regional offices. They operate across several sectors including MOJ, education & further education, commercial and life sciences valuing from £20mil – £100mil+.
As a result of continued success in the region, they're now looking to bring a additional Senior Quantity Surveyor into the team.
About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor:
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be initially working in pre-construction on two-stage bids, and later going on to manage / work within a commercial team on delivery. Projects will typically be across Hampshire, Berkshire and Dorset.
Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor:
Work alongside pre-construction team on any 2-stage tenders
Oversee the teams procurement / management of sub-contractor packages
Deal with final accounts / any dispute resolution that may arise
Liaise with the clients teams
Mentor junior members of the Surveying team and be involved in their professional development
Key Requirements for this Senior Qunatity Surveyor role:
Hold a BSc Quantity Surveying or HNC
Have experience managing projects from pre-construction through to final account
Be proficient in administering various forms of contract including JCT and NEC
Must live in a commutable location to Reading and be happy to visit office and site as required
Must have the full right to work in the UK
