The Opportunity
We are looking for a heavy-hitting Senior or Project Quantity Surveyor to take the lead on a high-profile 13-story residential block in the heart of Leeds. This project is currently in its critical early stages, requiring a sharp commercial mind to drive procurement and establish robust cost management processes.
This is a high-autonomy role reporting directly to the Commercial Director. If you are a seasoned pro who doesn't need hand-holding and thrives in a fast-paced site environment, this is a lucrative opportunity to add a major residential landmark to your portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement: Leading the procurement of sub-contractor packages during the early stages of the build.
Valuations: Managing monthly valuations and ensuring accurate cash flow forecasting.
Day-to-Day QS Duties: Handling variations, cost reporting, and maintaining the commercial integrity of the project.
Autonomy: Taking full ownership of the commercial function on-site, acting as the primary point of contact for the Commercial Director.
The Requirements
Residential Expertise: You must have a proven track record in high-rise residential developments.
Seniority: Minimum of 7-10+ years of experience within a PQS or SQS capacity.
Self-Starter: The ability to work independently and "be left alone" to get the job done.
Availability: Ready to start immediately or on short notice.
