About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Commissioning Engineer to join our Service Department. This is a field-based role responsible for commissioning Building Management Systems (BMS), integrating third-party systems, and supporting customers through to project completion.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering fully operational BMS solutions, producing detailed commissioning reports, troubleshooting system issues, and providing technical support across a range of control systems.

This role requires someone who can work independently, communicate effectively with clients and contractors, and provide guidance and support to junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Commission BMS systems and associated controls

Produce detailed commissioning reports, test results, and as-fitted drawings

Integrate third-party systems using Modbus, M-Bus, and BACnet protocols

Liaise with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and engineers

Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions

Modify and develop software strategies

Install and demonstrate supervisor graphics

Conduct site training, demonstrations, and witnessing

Carry out energy audits and identify energy-saving opportunities

Assist in developing controls solutions and applications

Mentor and support junior engineers

Maintain accurate documentation and project updates

Skills & Experience

Strong knowledge of BEMS and conventional control systems

Experience commissioning BMS systems

Understanding of HVAC controls and integration systems

Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings

Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and reporting abilities

Ability to work independently and manage site responsibilities

Experience with software strategy development and graphics modification preferred
