Site Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer for a short-term earthworks package based in Skipton. This is a 4-week contract opportunity with an immediate start available for the right candidate.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for setting out and overseeing day-to-day engineering duties on a live earthworks project, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately, and to programme.

Key Responsibilities

* Setting out for earthworks operations

* QA and as-built records

* Volume calculations and surveying

* Liaising with site management and subcontractors

* Ensuring works comply with drawings and specifications

* Maintaining health & safety standards on site

Requirements

* Previous experience on earthworks or heavy civils projects

* Proficient with GPS and robotic total station equipment

* Strong understanding of cut/fill operations

* CSCS card essential

* SMSTS or SSSTS advantageous

* Ability to work independently and manage site engineering duties

* Location: Skipton

* Duration: 4 Weeks

* Start: Immediate / ASAP

* Rate: £300 – £350 per day DOE
