A well-established building services contractor delivering high-quality mechanical, electrical, and refurbishment projects across London and the South East is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager.

The Role
As part of the project management team, you will oversee all aspects of commercial mechanical projects from initial planning through to completion and handover. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage projects through the full lifecycle, including planning, design coordination, installation, commissioning, and handover.
• Lead and coordinate project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure successful delivery.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all works comply with health & safety legislation, environmental regulations, and company procedures.
• Monitor project budgets, timelines, labour, and resources to achieve successful outcomes.
• Manage procurement of materials and equipment while maintaining cost control.
• Ensure installations meet required quality standards, specifications, and regulations.
• Oversee project documentation, reporting, RFIs, and client communications.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Identify and resolve technical and operational issues during project delivery.
• Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management.
• Stay up to date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Support tendering and pre-construction activities where required.
• Obtain competitive quotations from subcontractors and suppliers to support accurate project costing.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Skills & Experience Required
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Proven experience delivering mechanical building services projects.
• Background in commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects preferred.
• Degree qualified in Engineering or Building Services, or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing systems, construction methods, and building regulations.
• SMSTS qualification preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong understanding of industry regulations, compliance, and health & safety standards.
MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL TO LONDON AND OCCASIONALLY ACROSS SOUTH EAST ENGLAND!
