Design Manager – MOD & MOJ Projects

We are currently working with a Tier 1 contractor seeking experienced Design managers to join their growing construction team delivering high-profile MOD and MOJ projects across the Northwest

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Design Manager with experience in complex, secure, and technically demanding projects to play a key role from pre-construction through to project delivery.

Key responsibilities

Managing and coordinating the design process from tender through to completion
liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams
Reviewing and managing design programmes and technical information
Ensuring compliance with MOD/MOJ standards, regulations, and security requirements
Identifying and resolving design issues proactively
Supporting project delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Chairing design meetings and maintaining clear communication across all stakeholders

Requirements

Proven experience as a Design Manager within the construction industry
Experience working on MOD/MOJ, Healthcare, Education, or other regulated projects preferred
Strong technical and construction knowledge
Ability to manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Relevant Construction qualification preferred
