Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver the conversion of a listed building into a hotel in Manchester. This is a complex refurbishment and fast-track fit-out project with significant structural and logistical challenges. The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for project delivery, supported by a Visiting Project Manager and a Site Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Overall responsibility for the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of the project
Managing the refurbishment and fast-track hotel fit-out within programme and budget
Leading and coordinating the site team, including Visiting Project Manager and Site Manager
Managing complex structural works and logistical constraints associated with a listed building
Ensuring compliance with planning conditions, conservation requirements, and health & safety legislation
Driving subcontractor performance and managing sequencing of works
Monitoring programme, costs, quality, and risk throughout the project lifecycle
Liaising with clients, consultants, local authorities, and stakeholders
Ensuring all site documentation, reporting, and approvals are maintained accurately
Requirements

Proven experience as a Project Manager on hotel refurbishments or similar complex projects
Strong background in listed building projects and structural refurbishment works
Experience delivering fast-track fit-out projects
Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills
Able to manage logistical challenges within constrained city-centre environments
