Senior Quantity Surveyor

The Resolute Group are working in partnership with a leading mechanical and electrical engineering contractor, delivering programmes of work across National Grid and Scottish Power frameworks within their Transmission & Distribution division. Due to continued growth and project demand, they are looking to appoint an additional Senior Quantity Surveyor to support ongoing works across the Central Belt.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will report directly into the Lead Quantity Surveyor, supporting the commercial delivery of multiple projects across a busy framework.

This is an excellent opportunity for a QS within infrastructure or civil engineering looking to join a business with a strong pipeline of secured work.

Day to day duties will vary but could include:

Supporting the commercial management of multiple framework projects
Administering NEC contracts
Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and final accounts
Supporting cost forecasting, reporting and change management
Coordinating with operational teams to drive commercial performance
Identifying risks, issues and opportunities across projects
Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders

Working Arrangements:

Based in Glasgow with site travel as required
Hybrid working

Qualifications:

Minimum 5+ years' experience within Quantity Surveying, ideally within Power or civil engineering environments
Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
Experience managing multiple projects or workstreams within a framework environment
Background within T&D is advantageous, but open to wider civils experience
Ability to manage subcontractor accounts, valuations and final accounts independently
Strong commercial awareness with experience in cost reporting, forecasting and change management
