An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a leading Tier 1 M&E Contractor delivering a major £7m student accommodation development in Birmingham.
Working within an established project delivery team, the successful candidate will take full responsibility for the mechanical package from pre-construction through to commissioning and final handover, ensuring successful delivery in line with programme, budget and quality expectations.
This role offers the opportunity to join a well-respected contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work across the Midlands and nationally.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full mechanical delivery of a £7m student accommodation scheme
Coordinate subcontractors, labour and specialist suppliers on site
Drive programme delivery and manage installation activities through all project phases
Oversee quality assurance, commissioning and project handover processes
Manage procurement, material scheduling and technical coordination
Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants and internal teams
Ensure all works are delivered in line with health & safety and compliance requirements
Support commercial management and overall project performanceCandidate Requirements
Proven experience operating as a Mechanical Project Manager within the Building Services / M&E sector
Previous experience delivering residential, student accommodation or major commercial developments
Strong understanding of mechanical building services installations and project delivery
Excellent leadership, coordination and communication skills
Experience working for Tier 1 contractors or leading M&E contractors preferredPackage
