Mechanical Contracts Manager
Roles & Responsibilities
Managing mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to final handover
Reviewing contract documentation, technical specifications, and drawings
Preparing project programmes, technical submissions, and health & safety documentation
Managing subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and appointment processes
Coordinating with internal BIM, CAD, estimating, and site delivery teams
Overseeing project delivery, commissioning activities, and client handovers
Producing monthly progress reports, applications, variations, and commercial reporting
Managing Project Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors, and specialist teams
Attending client, contractor, and consultant meetings throughout project lifecycle
Ensuring projects are delivered safely, commercially, and within programme
Requirements
Minimum 10 years’ experience within Mechanical Building Services
Previous experience managing projects valued between £100K–£5M
HNC/HND qualification in Building Services Engineering or equivalent
Strong understanding of contract administration and commercial processes
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and project programming software
Strong leadership and communication skills
Full UK Driving Licence and valid CSCS Card required
