Site Engineer – Large Industrial Unit (£80m Project)
Location: Gloucester
Duration: 12 Month Contract
Rate: £350 – £400 per day
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major £80 million industrial unit development in Gloucester on a long-term contract basis.
This is a key role working on a large-scale industrial scheme, providing engineering support across all phases of construction including groundworks, steel frame installation, and external works delivery.
Project Overview:
* £80m new-build industrial unit
* Full groundworks package
* Large steel frame superstructure
* Extensive external works and yard slabs
* Fast-paced, high-value commercial build
Key Responsibilities:
* Setting out for all site elements including drainage, foundations, steel frame bases, and external works
* Supporting steel frame erection including bolt position checks and gridline control
* QA/QC inspections and maintaining accurate site records
* Working closely with site management and subcontractors to ensure programme delivery
* Reviewing drawings, resolving site queries, and raising RFIs where required
* Ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately, and in line with specifications
* Supporting coordination between groundworks, steel erection, and finishing packages
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Engineer on large commercial or industrial projects
* Strong background in groundworks and structural steel frame delivery
* Confident in setting out using total station equipment
* CSCS card required
* SMSTS required
* Strong understanding of QA procedures and construction sequencing
* Ability to work independently on large, fast-moving sites
Package:
* £350 – £400 per day (DOE)
