Damp & Mould Repairs Supervisor

Location: Enfield
Salary: PAYE £23.88 / SE £29.97
Working Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Damp & Mould Repairs Supervisor to oversee the effective delivery of damp and mould remediation works across our social housing portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising operatives and subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while delivering excellent customer service to residents. This role requires strong technical knowledge of damp and mould issues, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within occupied residential properties.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate damp and mould inspection, diagnosis, and remediation works across multiple properties and sites
• Manage a team of operatives and specialist subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and within agreed timescales
• Carry out pre-inspections and post-inspections to ensure quality of works, compliance, and value for money
• Identify root causes of damp and mould, including condensation, rising damp, leaks, ventilation issues, and structural defects
• Ensure appropriate remedial actions are implemented in line with company standards and regulations
• Monitor contractor and operative performance against KPIs, service level agreements, and turnaround times
• Ensure all works comply with health & safety legislation, company policies, and regulatory requirements
• Work closely with planners, surveyors, housing officers, and residents to ensure effective communication and scheduling of works
• Maintain accurate records, reports, job notes, and photographic evidence of completed works
• Handle resident enquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and tenant care
• Conduct toolbox talks, site audits, and safety checks where required
• Support continuous improvement and identify opportunities to improve service delivery and operational performance

Requirements
• Proven experience supervising damp and mould works within social housing or a similar environment (essential)
• Strong technical knowledge of damp, mould, condensation, and associated building defects
• Experience managing multi-trade operatives and subcontractors
• Good understanding of health & safety legislation and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication, customer service, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and manage a busy and varied workload
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential)

Desirable Skills & Qualifications
• Knowledge of housing regulations, tenant care standards, and social housing environments
• SSSTS, SMSTS, or equivalent supervisory qualification
• Experience within planned maintenance or responsive repairs environments
