Role – Site Manager

Location – Scotland

Mint Selection are partnering with a leading organisation within the energy sector to recruit an experienced Site Manager for a major utility-scale energy project based in Scotland. This will be a 24-month contract starting in July and will require someone to be fully site based throughout the duration of the project.

The successful individual will take ownership of day-to-day site activities and oversee the safe delivery of construction works across multiple packages. This role requires someone who has previously delivered utility-scale BESS projects and understands how to manage contractors, challenge programme and drive delivery on site.

Scope of Work

• Oversee day-to-day site activities across the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements.

• Manage and coordinate contractors across civil, mechanical and electrical scopes of work.

• Ensure all site activities are carried out in line with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) standards and permit-to-work systems.

• Monitor contractor performance, site progress, and quality of workmanship, ensuring issues are identified and resolved quickly.

• Coordinate site interfaces between contractors, suppliers, and wider project teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

• Support reporting into the wider project team, providing updates on progress, risks, delays, and key site activities.

• Lead site meetings, toolbox talks and daily briefings to maintain strong safety and delivery standards.

• Support construction through to commissioning and handover phases.

Experience to be Considered

• Proven experience working as a Site Manager on utility-scale BESS projects.

• Strong background overseeing civil, mechanical and electrical contractors on major infrastructure or energy projects.

• Experience managing site activities on large-scale construction projects with multiple contractor interfaces.

• Strong understanding of HSEQ procedures, site safety, and construction sequencing.

• Comfortable working in a fully site-based role with minimum 10-hour working days.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to maintain a proactive site presence.

This will be a 24-month contract with a July start and will require a full-time site presence.
