Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor, who has experience working on social housing projects?

Approach Personnel are proud to be partnered with a regional, growing Joinery & Build contractor, who are currently looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis out of their office in Nottingham. The business has a strong foundation in social housing helping and is looking for someone from a similar background/experience. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee the vast majority of the companies projects whilst they grow ensuring commercial success on a continuous basis.

What are we looking for?

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on a social housing contract

* Desirably, a degree in Quantity Surveying

* A strong understanding of cost management and sub-contractor procurement.

* Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages.

Key Responsibilities:

* Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.

* Assess contract risk and work with the site team to develop and manage mitigation plans

* Review all contract documents to ensure the business is protected at all times.

* Manage all commercial aspects related to the contracts.

* Ensure that all group commercial policies are being adhered too and that all legislations are being met.

* Manage our established list of supply chain sub-contractors
