Assistant Quantity Surveyor required in Essex

GVR Solutions are currently representing a very well-established main contractor, based in Essex, who are actively in the market for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. As a main contractor the primarily work with in the Commercial, Hospitality and Bespoke Residential sectors providing fit out and refurbishment services.

As the Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will:

* Assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies

* Ensure the commercial targets are achieved including project and programme cost, quality and time.

* Assist the costing of the project, budgeting, and cash flows

* Carry out measurement for valuations

* Analyse progress and reporting

* Identify Opportunities and risks

* Attend post tender and pre-contract meetings.

* Prepare summary reports for the client and other stakeholders

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor must have/be:

* Quantity Surveying/Construction Degree Qualified or Construction related education.

* 1 – 2 years minimum experience in a Quantity Surveying position

* Must be computer literate.

* Full driving licence required.

* CSCS card ideal but not a necessity

* Any construction experience is a bonus but not necessary.
