Senior Package Manager – Structures

Location: Birmingham 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a major infrastructure project delivering complex civils and structural packages as part of a long-term multi-billion-pound transport programme in the Midlands.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Package Manager with a strong background in reinforced concrete and major infrastructure delivery to coordinate and manage structural work packages across a major programme footprint. This role will involve overseeing planning, design validation, procurement, and delivery activities in line with the Contractor’s Management Plan.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering large-scale civils and structural works packages valued between £30m and £40m, working within a high-performing project delivery environment through to circa 2030.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage structured work packages across the project footprint

• Oversee planning, procurement, design validation, and delivery activities

• Manage subcontractors and specialist delivery teams

• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget

• Interface with internal teams, stakeholders, and rail-related works where required

• Report to the Senior Project Manager and wider leadership team

Project Scope Includes:

• Bridge structures and overpasses

• Station and rail interface works

• Substructure and superstructure elements

• Pile caps

• Reinforced concrete columns

• RC viaducts

• Concrete superstructure works

Candidate Requirements:

• Strong background delivering reinforced concrete packages on major infrastructure projects

• Experience working within a main contractor or large specialist subcontractor environment

• Previous involvement in complex civils, rail, transport, or structural projects

• Comfortable managing multi-disciplinary packages within live project environments

• Structural steel or façade experience is beneficial

• Rail interface experience advantageous

Candidates do not need to come exclusively from a Tier 1 contractor background. Individuals from leading specialist subcontractors with proven major project experience will also be considered.

This is a long-term full-time opportunity at Curzon Street with no requirement to work outside the project location
