Quantity Surveyor

We are currently working in partnership with a well-established Oxfordshire-based main contractor who are actively seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Special Works Division.

This is an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of a highly respected commercial team, delivering a diverse range of projects valued up to £5m across the heritage, refurbishment, commercial, and new build sectors.

The successful candidate will be involved in the full commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with operational teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.

Projects will include a mixture of complex heritage refurbishments, commercial fit-outs, specialist refurbishment schemes, and new build developments, often within challenging and high-profile environments.

Key Responsibilities:

* Managing project costs and commercial performance

* Procurement and subcontractor management

* Preparation of valuations, variations, and final accounts

* Cost reporting and forecasting

* Supporting project delivery teams throughout all phases of construction

* Building and maintaining strong client relationships

* Assisting in the commercial success and continued growth of the Special Works Division

Requirements:

* Previous experience working for a main contractor

* Strong understanding of refurbishment and/or heritage projects

* Excellent commercial awareness and communication skills

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

* Degree qualified or equivalent within Quantity Surveying or Construction Management preferred
