Quantity Surveyor

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing construction and commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to work on a range of residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects while supporting cost management and contractual operations from pre-construction through to final account.
Key Responsibilities of a quantity surveyior
* Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation
* Managing project costs throughout the construction lifecycle
* Conducting valuations and variations
* Negotiating contracts and procurement of subcontractors/suppliers
* Preparing interim valuations and final accounts
* Monitoring project expenditure and identifying cost-saving opportunities
* Ensuring projects remain within budget and contractual compliance
* Liaising with clients, site teams, contractors, and stakeholders
* Producing regular commercial reports for senior management
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or civil engineering
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost control
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and commercial software packages
* Full UK driving licence preferred
