About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of a major construction scheme. The successful candidate will take ownership of cost control, procurement, valuations, and contractual compliance while working closely with site teams to ensure the project is delivered efficiently and profitably.
This role suits a commercially astute QS who can operate independently, manage multiple packages, and provide clear commercial guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities

Manage commercial activities from procurement through to final account.

Prepare cost plans, forecasts, CVRs, and cashflow projections.
*
Lead subcontract procurement, tender analysis, and contract appointments.
*
Administer JCT/NEC contracts and issue required notices.
*
Prepare and submit monthly valuations.
*
Assess and certify subcontractor applications.
*
Manage variations, change control, and commercial risk.
*
Support site teams with commercial advice and decision‑making.
*
Maintain accurate records and ensure full contractual compliance.
*
Negotiate and agree final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Project Quantity Surveyor within construction.
*
Strong understanding of JCT or NEC forms of contract.
*
Ability to manage multiple work packages and deadlines.
*
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
*
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
*
Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience
