Chartered Building Surveyor
Conrad Consulting is pleased to be working with a highly respected multi-disciplinary construction and property consultancy seeking an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join their growing team in Reading.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated MRICS Building Surveyor looking to progress their career within a collaborative and forward-thinking consultancy environment. The successful candidate will work across a varied portfolio of projects within the commercial, healthcare and education sectors, delivering a full range of professional and project-led building surveying services.
The Role
The Chartered Building Surveyor will take a leading role in delivering surveying commissions while supporting client development and contributing to the continued success of the team.
Responsibilities will include:
Developing detailed project briefs alongside clients and senior colleagues
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Supporting business development initiatives and networking activities
Undertaking site inspections including measured surveys, condition surveys and defect analysis
Preparing designs, specifications and tender documentation
Contract administration duties under JCT and NEC contracts
Delivering professional surveying services including:
Condition surveys
Defect diagnosis
Dilapidations
Party wall matters
Insurance inspections and claims advice
Reinstatement Cost Assessments
Coordinating with clients, contractors and consultants throughout project delivery
Supporting junior team members through mentoring and technical guidance
Assisting senior management with team leadership, recruitment and project financial monitoring
Requirements
Degree qualified in Building Surveying (RICS accredited)
MRICS Chartered status essential
Previous consultancy experience within commercial, healthcare and/or education sectors
Strong technical and report writing capabilities
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or REVIT
Experience using NBS Chorus preferred
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Commercially aware with strong organisational ability
Full UK Driving Licence
