Are you an experienced Construction Manager looking for a varied role where no two days are the same?
Our client is a specialist provider within the flags, flagpoles and event services sector, delivering projects for government, commercial and private clients across the UK. From prestigious ceremonial events in London to large-scale installation projects nationwide, they are now looking for a proactive and hands-on Construction Manager to join their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing office-based planning with on-site leadership, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
The Role
As Construction Manager, you will act as the key link between the office team and field engineers, ensuring projects run smoothly from planning through to completion.
You will be responsible for:
* Coordinating projects, engineer schedules, materials and equipment
* Translating client briefs into practical site delivery plans
* Managing on-site installations, event rigging and maintenance works
* Supervising engineering teams and subcontractors
* Ensuring Health & Safety compliance across all works
* Conducting site visits, inspections and surveys
* Preparing and reviewing RAMS, COSHH and method statements
* Managing resources across multiple live projects
* Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers and stakeholders
* Producing site reports and project updates for management
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience in Construction Management, Site Management or Project Coordination
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
* A solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation, including working at height regulations
* Experience managing teams and subcontractors on live sites
* The ability to read and understand technical drawings
* Good Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Outlook
* A full UK driving licence
Desirable
* IPAF and/or PASMA qualifications
* Experience within events, outdoor installations or specialist construction services
* Experience working on government or public sector projects
