We are seeking an experienced ICN / BMS / EPMS Project Lead to join a major hyperscale data centre development in Berlin. This is a client-side leadership role responsible for overseeing the design, compliance, integration, and delivery of all Intelligent Controls Network (ICN), Building Management Systems (BMS), and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) across a large-scale mission-critical facility.
The successful candidate will lead all aspects of controls and monitoring infrastructure, ensuring systems are delivered in line with German legislation, European standards, operational requirements, and commissioning objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of all ICN, BMS, and EPMS packages from design through commissioning and handover
* Oversee system integration across critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure
* Ensure compliance with all relevant German regulations, EU legislation, and project standards
* Manage consultants, vendors, system integrators, and specialist subcontractors
* Act as the primary client-side representative for all controls and monitoring systems
* Review technical submissions, designs, sequences of operation, and commissioning strategies
* Coordinate interfaces between CSA, MEP, ICT, and commissioning teams
* Monitor programme, quality, budget, and project risks throughout delivery
* Support FAT, SAT, IST, and full systems commissioning activities
* Drive health & safety, quality assurance, and operational readiness standards
Requirements
* Proven experience delivering ICN, BMS, and/or EPMS systems within data centre or mission-critical environments
* Strong understanding of controls architecture, integration protocols, and critical infrastructure monitoring systems
* Experience overseeing projects from design through delivery and commissioning
* Knowledge of German and European compliance standards and legislation
* Client-side or principal contractor experience preferred
* Strong stakeholder management and technical leadership capabilities
* Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Controls Engineering, or related discipline
* Fluent English required; German advantageous
