Site Manager
My client is seeking an experienced and driven Site Manager to join a flagship 2000-unit residential development in Suffolk. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role on one of the region’s largest and most high-profile housing projects, delivering a high-quality, sustainable community at scale.
You will take ownership of a defined phase or multiple workstreams, ensuring delivery is on programme, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day site operations across a large residential scheme
* Lead, coordinate, and supervise subcontractors and site teams
* Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations (CDM) and company procedures
* Drive programme delivery, identifying and mitigating risks to progress
* Maintain strict quality control and oversee snagging and handover processes
* Work closely with the Project Manager, Commercial team, and Technical teams
* Monitor site logistics, materials, and resource planning
* Ensure excellent standards of site presentation and organisation
* Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, local authorities, and residents
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on large-scale residential developments
* Experience working on multi-phase, high-volume housing schemes (500+ units desirable)
* Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and site management practices
* Relevant qualifications (SMSTS, CSCS Black/Gold Card, First Aid at Work)
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage fast-paced environments and multiple contractors
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality delivery
Desirable
* Experience with timber frame, RC frame, or traditional build methods
* NHBC / LABC standards knowledge
* Previous involvement in large masterplan communities or urban extensions
