Gas and Heating Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Gas and Heating Engineer to join our team delivering essential services across social housing properties in North Somerset. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
You will play a key role in ensuring that all gas servicing, maintenance, and repair works are carried out efficiently, safely, and in line with regulatory standards.
Your new role
Key Responsibilities
Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs of domestic gas appliances and systems
Complete landlord gas safety checks (CP12 certificates)
Respond to reactive repair requests and emergency call-outs
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current Gas Safe regulations
Accurately complete job reports, compliance records, and documentation
Liaise with tenants, colleagues, and management to ensure excellent service delivery
Identify and report any additional work or safety concerns
Support scheduling and prioritisation of urgent jobsMonday to Friday 39hrs, 1 in 12 on call, paid at an additional rate.
What you'll need to succeed
Gas Safe Registered (essential)
Relevant ACS qualifications (e.g. CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1)
Experience working within social housing or domestic environments
Strong understanding of health & safety and compliance
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Full UK driving licence(less than 3 points on your licence)Must have experience in social housing, across Boilers/ Fire and Cookers.
