Mechanical Estimator – Building Services

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 + Package

Type: Permanent

A growing multi-discipline contractor specialising in facilities management, M&E services, small works and full project delivery is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their pre-construction team based in Milton Keynes.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and expanding business delivering commercial and industrial projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate mechanical estimates and tender submissions

Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation

Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations

Carry out take-offs and detailed cost analysis

Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal delivery teams

Attend tender and pre-construction meetings where required

Support project handover to operational teams upon award

Assist with value engineering and cost-saving solutions where appropriate

Requirements

Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator within M&E or building services

Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing and mechanical building services installations

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

Experience using estimating software advantageous

Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

Good communication and organisational skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders
