Small Works Site Manager
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Small Works Site Manager to join a leading construction business delivering high-quality projects across the region. This is a hands-on site-based role, overseeing small works projects and ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery from start to finish.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to the required standards.
Key responsibilities include:
• Planning and organising all site labour, including subcontractors
• Allocating work across direct and indirect labour
• Ensuring efficient use of resources on site
• Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety at all times
• Ensuring Quality Control procedures are followed
• Keeping accurate site records, registers, and electronic filing systems up to date
• Checking and authorising timesheets for direct labour
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised site environment
• Managing waste reduction and environmental standards
• Protecting the public and ensuring safe site access at all times
• Maintaining a professional site image at all times
• Ensuring CCS (Considerate Constructors Scheme) standards are met
What we're looking for
You will ideally have:
• A Construction or Civil Engineering related qualification (or equivalent experience)
• Previous site management experience within the construction industry
• Valid CSCS card
• SMSTS qualification
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety practices
• First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)
• Membership of CIOB, ICE or CEng (desirable)
