A leading Main Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality residential developments is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing delivery team.
With a solid pipeline of secured projects across Surrey, London and the wider M25 region, this is an excellent opportunity for a driven construction professional to join a contractor operating within the high-end residential sector.
The successful candidate will initially be responsible for delivering a high volume residential project in Oxshott, taking full ownership of site operations, programme performance, subcontractor management, and client coordination.
The Role
Reporting to the Construction Director, the Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of residential construction projects from inception through to completion and handover.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Overall management and coordination of site operations
• Delivery of projects safely, on programme, within budget and to a high standard
• Preparation, monitoring and management of construction programmes
• Management of subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
• Ensuring compliance with all health & safety legislation and company procedures
• Maintaining quality standards and driving high-end finishes throughout
• Chairing progress and coordination meetings with clients, consultants and subcontractors
• Production of progress reports and programme updates
• Identification and mitigation of construction and programme risks
• Coordination with commercial, technical and design teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Maintaining strong client relationships and professional communication at all times
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should possess the following:
• Proven experience as a Project Manager working for a Main Contractor
• Strong residential construction background, ideally within high-end private residential, luxury developments, bespoke housing, or multi-unit schemes
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills
• Strong programming and project planning capability
• High level of IT literacy, including Microsoft Office, project planning software and reporting systems
• Sound technical construction knowledge
• Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain programme performance under pressure
• Professional and client-facing approach
