Project Design Manager – Contract Role
📍 Location: Harwell (Hybrid)
📅 Start Date: ASAP
📆 Contract Length: Initial 3 months (with potential extension)
💰 Rate: £400per day
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Design Manager to support a project in Harwell. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team delivering complex laboratory and clean room environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the design process across the project life-cycle
Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to ensure programme and quality targets are achieved
Act as a key interface between stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication
Manage design risk, compliance, and build-ability considerations
Provide client-facing support, maintaining strong professional relationships
Experience & Requirements
Strong background in architecture or design management preferred
Proven experience working on clean room and/or laboratory builds (essential)
Valid SMSTS and First Aid certifications
Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
