About the Role
We are working with a well-established regional contractor to appoint an intermediate-level Quantity Surveyor or someone looking to take the next step in their career.
This opportunity will see you working across a range of new build and refurbishment projects, typically valued between £1m and £10m, supporting both preconstruction and delivery teams.
The role offers excellent exposure across the full project lifecycle, making it ideal for someone keen to develop their commercial skills within a supportive and growing environment.

Key Responsibilities
Commercial Management

Assist with managing project budgets, cost reporting, and forecasts
Support the procurement of subcontract packages
Prepare and review valuations, variations, and final accounts
Monitor project costs and ensure financial targets are achievedProcurement & Packages

Manage subcontractor packages from tender through to final account
Support negotiations and ensure best value is achieved across the supply chain
Work closely with site teams to track progress and manage costsPreconstruction Support

Assist with tender processes, including pricing and cost planning
Support preparation of estimates and subcontract enquiries
Contribute to buildability and value engineering discussionsStakeholder Engagement

Work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, and senior commercial staff
Build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
Maintain clear communication across all project stakeholdersWhat We're Looking For

Experience as an Assistant or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor
Exposure to new build and refurbishment projects
Strong understanding of subcontractor packages and cost management
Eagerness to learn and progress within a commercial role
Good communication and organisational skills
Some knowledge of JCT contracts preferred
Relevant qualification (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or similarSalary & Benefits
