Freelance Health & Safety Manager – Data Centre Fit-Out
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Contract: 24 Months
Start: ASAP
Working Pattern: Site-based, 5 days per week

We are currently seeking a Freelance Health & Safety Manager to join a major data centre fit-out project in Hemel Hempstead. This is a long-term opportunity working with a leading Main Contractor on a high-profile scheme approaching its final delivery phase.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee all on-site health & safety operations during the fit-out stage

* Ensure full compliance with HSE regulations and company standards

* Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments

* Drive a proactive safety culture across all trades and subcontractors

* Lead toolbox talks, inductions, and incident investigations

* Work closely with the project team to support a safe, efficient project completion

Requirements:

* Proven experience as an H&S Manager on large-scale construction or data centre projects

* Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation

* Relevant qualifications (NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma or equivalent)

* Confident communicator with the ability to influence site teams

* Main contractor experience preferred
