Senior Engineer – ground engineering
Excited by the proposition of working on one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects?
We are recruiting two Senior Engineers to support the delivery of the ground engineering package for a major national infrastructure scheme that will transform transport connectivity across the South East.
This £150 million package is being delivered through a joint venture and will be executed over the next two years. The works will prepare the ground for the main construction and tunnelling phases, involving some of the most technically challenging ground engineering operations currently underway in the UK.
The scope of works includes:
Approximately 45,000m² of Diaphragm Wall construction
300,000m³ of Cutter Soil Mixing (CSM)
50,000 CMC piles and 300 Rotary Bored Piles
The works will stabilise and improve ground conditions, provide permanent support to portal structures, and facilitate the delivery of future tunnelling operations.
As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, coordination and delivery of major ground engineering activities. Working closely with project and construction teams, you will ensure safe, efficient and high quality execution of complex geotechnical works.
To be considered, it is felt that you will:
Hold a minimum of 5 years of post graduate experience
Have proven experience in Diaphragm Wall and/or Soil Mixing
Have a strong technical understanding of geotechnical construction methodologies
Be educated to degree level in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering
On offer is a salary of around £65,000 per annum, a £4,800 car allowance, holiday, pension (up to 8% employer contribution), private medical and holiday. Should you qualify, they also offer a lodge allowance of £1,600 per month (NET).
