The Role:
Due to continued growth and an expanding portfolio of work, our client is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with the preparation of cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation
* Support senior QS staff in managing project budgets, valuations, and cost reporting
* Attend site visits and progress meetings
* Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project goals are met
* Contribute to cost control and value engineering initiatives
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records throughout the project lifecycle
About You:
* Degree qualified or currently undertaking a Quantity Surveying or related course
* 1–2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with a main contractor
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Excellent attention to detail and time management
* Eager to learn, with a proactive and team-oriented attitude
* Good understanding of construction processes and contract administration
