Our client is a specialist contractor operating within the joinery and construction sector, delivering high-quality bespoke projects over a range of commercial environments across London and internationally. They are now actively looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their London office following continued project growth and an internal leadership promotion within the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to join a collaborative and close-knit business, looking to take ownership of projects from inception through to completion, working closely with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal design teams to ensure successful project delivery.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing all aspects of project execution, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working within a collaborative and close-knit team, you will be responsible for overseeing project scope, programme, financial performance, risk management, and stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing projects from pre-construction through to final completion and defects period
• Taking full responsibility for project delivery, including programme, budget, quality, risk management, and health & safety compliance
• Coordinating with design teams, technical specialists, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are achieved
• Managing project variations, communicating changes effectively, and agreeing commercial implications with clients and stakeholders
• Ensuring all contractual and project documentation is completed accurately and submitted within required timescales
• Conducting supplier quality reviews, site inspections, and project sign-offs throughout the delivery process
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers, resolving project challenges efficiently and ensuring client expectations are exceeded throughout delivery
• Managing health & safety requirements, including risk assessments, method statements, and site-specific compliance documentation
• Supporting project cost reporting, forecasting, and commercial performance alongside the commercial team
Requirements
• 3-5 years’ proven experience working within the high-end Joinery, bespoke interior or interior fit-out projects.
• Experience successfully managing multiple projects through the full project lifecycle
• Strong organisational and programme management skills with the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
• Strong understanding of project controls, contractual processes, and construction industry best practice
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Understanding of health & safety legislation and project compliance requirements
