Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing Planned Works – Hertfordshire – Hybrid
* Location: Hertfordshire (3 days office / 2 days WFH)
* Framework: Major Housing Association – Planned Works
* Regions: Essex, Norfolk & Cambridgeshire
* Travel: Approx. 1–2 site/client visits per month
We are partnering with a respected UK main contractor with a £700m+ turnover and a strong national presence. With over 25 years of sustained success, they have built long-term client relationships and secured a robust pipeline of work across the country.
This role sits within a well‑established business unit delivering refurbishment, remediation, retrofit, and building safety projects for local authorities and housing associations. You’ll join a collaborative team supported by an experienced senior leadership group known for delivering high‑quality, complex schemes.
The Opportunity
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial delivery of a long-term planned works framework, including kitchens & bathrooms, roofing, windows & doors, and associated refurbishment works. This is a stable, multi‑year programme with predictable workflow and minimal travel.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in commercial management from procurement to final account

Support subcontractor procurement, valuations, variations, and payments
*
Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and commercial documentation
*
Work closely with Senior QS and commercial managers
*
Build strong relationships with clients and supply chain partners
*
Contribute to continuous improvement across the framework
What You’ll Bring

Experience as a QS/AQS within refurbishment, planned works, or social housing
