Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager

We are looking for an entrepreneurial senior quantity surveyor who would be motivated by the prospect of joining a central Reading-based main contractor established by its two founders last year.

The business, now just short of 12 months in existence, has taken off well, winning and delivering varied main contracts for end users including local authorities and architects.

Our client’s directors comprise an experienced contracts manager and a very effective business development exec backed by well seasoned site managers who are now ready to create their business’s inaugural commercial role, requiring a main contractor’s senior quantity surveyor who is capable of interrogating tender documents for risk items and commercial opportunities, assisting the MD with the preparation of tender enquiries, measurement of works in progress and the agreement of clients’ final accounts. All the nuts and bolts of main contracting quantity surveying, then, with the forward opportunity of growing your job title, team, role scope and compensation with the on-going growth of this new venture.

With interviews available from w/c 8th June, salary will grow with the role and, in the first instance, attract a basic of £75k to £85k
