A Manchester-based construction consultancy is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join its growing team and support the delivery of residential and hospitality projects across the UK. This Assistant Project Manager opportunity offers the chance to gain hands-on experience across a varied project portfolio whilst working alongside experienced project management professionals. The successful Assistant Project Manager will be involved in projects from inception through to completion, developing both technical and client-facing skills.
The successful Assistant Project Manager will support the delivery of high-quality residential and hospitality schemes, assisting with project coordination, contract administration and stakeholder management. This Assistant Project Manager role is ideal for an ambitious Assistant Project Manager looking to accelerate their career within a consultancy environment. The Assistant Project Manager will benefit from exposure to all stages of project delivery and a clear progression pathway towards Project Manager level.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Assistant Project Manager's role
The Assistant Project Manager will support senior team members in the successful delivery of projects across the residential and hospitality sectors.
Responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the delivery of residential and hospitality projects
Supporting project planning and coordination activities
Preparing project reports, meeting minutes and project documentation
Monitoring project programmes and key milestones
Liaising with clients, consultants and contractors
Assisting with Contract Administration and Employer's Agent duties
Managing project action trackers and risk registers
Supporting procurement and tender processes
Attending project and site meetings
The Assistant Project Manager
The successful Assistant Project Manager will have:
Previous construction consultancy experience
Exposure to residential and/or hospitality projects
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
Strong organisational and communication skills
A proactive and professional approach
The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Ambition to progress towards chartership with APM, RICS or CIOB
Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
