A successful and growing Building Surveying practice are now seeking an Associate Building Surveyor to join their London team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Building Surveyor looking to take on a varied role that combines technical Building Surveying work, client development and team leadership. The Building Surveyor will work closely with investors, developers and commercial property owners across a range of projects. This Building Surveyor position offers the opportunity to influence business growth while delivering high-quality Building Surveying services. The successful Building Surveyor will be based in London with flexible hybrid working available.

The Company?

The successful Associate Building Surveyor will be joining an independent Building Surveying consultancy that works directly with investors and developers across London and the South East. The practice provides commercial advice across dilapidations, technical due diligence, project management, insurance matters and party wall services. This Associate Building Surveyor will play a key role in both project delivery and business development.

The Role

As the Associate Building Surveyor, you will lead a variety of surveying instructions while supporting the continued growth of the business.

The role will include:

* Undertaking dilapidations instructions for landlords and tenants
* Carrying out building surveys and pre-acquisition due diligence reports
* Producing feasibility studies and technical advice
* Managing construction and refurbishment projects
* Delivering expert witness and insurance-related surveying services
* Developing and maintaining client relationships
* Training and mentoring graduate surveyors
* Managing project workflow and resource allocation

The Associate Building Surveyor?

You will be a commercially aware and motivated individual with a strong technical background and the ability to manage client relationships effectively.

The Associate Building Surveyor must have:

* MRICS qualification
* Strong dilapidations experience
* Experience undertaking building surveys and feasibility studies
* Knowledge of contract administration and contract management
* Project management experience across commercial property projects
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and report writing abilities
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Experience developing client relationships and generating new business
