Quantity Surveyor – Stone, Ceramics & Joinery

Arena are a specialist contractor delivering high-end stone, ceramic, and bespoke interior packages across commercial fit-out, luxury residential, hospitality, and design-led projects throughout London and the South East. Their work includes natural stone, large format tiling, terrazzo, specialist finishes, and bespoke joinery installations on complex, high-specification interiors projects.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor with strong exposure to interior finishes, particularly stone, ceramics, and joinery packages.

The Role:

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple projects from pre-construction through to final account. Working closely with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, you will ensure projects are commercially controlled and delivered profitably while maintaining strong relationships across all stakeholders.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience managing specialist interior packages within commercial fit-out or high-end residential environments.

Key Responsibilities:

•Managing the commercial aspects of stone, ceramic, tiling, and joinery packages across multiple projects
•Preparing valuations, variations, cost reports, CVRs, and final accounts
•Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
•Procurement and subcontractor management
•Managing supplier accounts and commercial negotiations
•Identifying and managing project risk and change control
•Working closely with site and project management teams to monitor progress and cost
•Attending client and subcontractor meetings
•Supporting estimating and pre-construction activities where required
•Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and commercial targets

Requirements:

•Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or specialist subcontracting
•Strong experience with stone, ceramics, tiling, or specialist interior finishes
•Joinery package experience is essential
•Background within commercial fit-out, high-end residential, hospitality, or luxury interiors
•Good understanding of subcontractor procurement and package management
•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
•Strong communication and negotiation skills
•Organised, commercially aware, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
•Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management preferred

Desirable Experience:

•Experience working for a specialist subcontractor
•Exposure to CAT A / CAT B fit-out projects
•Experience with natural stone, porcelain, terrazzo, or bespoke finishes
•Knowledge of interior fit-out sequencing and coordination
