Finishing Manager

We are seeking an experienced Finishing Manager to join a leading Tier 1 construction contractor on a prestigious project in Oxford. This is an immediate requirement for an initial 3-month contract, overseeing the final stages of a major construction scheme and ensuring a high-quality handover to the client.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage all finishing and snagging activities across the project.

* Coordinate subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.

* Drive programme completion and monitor progress against key milestones.

* Conduct quality inspections and ensure all defects are identified, recorded, and closed out efficiently.

* Liaise with site management, design teams, and client representatives.

* Oversee health and safety compliance within finishing trades.

* Support commissioning, testing, and handover activities.

* Produce and manage snagging schedules and completion reports.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Finishing Manager on large-scale construction projects.

* Previous experience working for a Tier 1 main contractor.

* Strong knowledge of quality assurance, snagging, and handover processes.

* Excellent organisational and communication skills.

* Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and coordinate finishing trades effectively.

* SMSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid certification preferred.

* Available for an immediate start.
